The Vise project was begun in 2005, with the
aim of bringing exposure to unsigned and independent artists; for the
benefit of both artists and music fans. The first Vise project was the Vise Music Award which aimed to create a community of fans and artists whom would themselves run the award. The award would go to an unknown unsigned/independent artist, and the community would then be used to promote that artist. As podcasting increased in popularity so much in 2006, so did our interest in it; and so the Vise New Music Podcast was born. In 2007 the podcast's second season is about to begin, after a very successful first run. We hope this will be a big year for Vise as our aims begin to be realised. |
